Project
Mycologeek.com is a Python Flask web application hosted on AWS Elastic Beanstalk, secured with ACM and optimized through Cloudfront. The site serves as the central hub for my collection of projects that push the boundaries of automation in mushroom cultivation and other "mad science" endeavors.
At its core, Mycologeek.com is more than just a website; it's a showcase of my passion for integrating software engineering with IoT and cloud technologies. The site connects to a series of sensors built using Arduino, collecting and storing environmental data on a Raspberry Pi. This data, along with real-time weather information from the OpenWeather API, provides a detailed picture of the growing environment.
Looking forward, my goal is to expand these projects into the realm of automation and robotics, building machines to assist in the mushroom cultivation process. This ambitious vision involves developing small robots or automated systems that can handle tasks such as monitoring humidity, adjusting light exposure, and even harvesting the mushrooms themselves.
Mycologeek.com highlights my curiosity as an engineer and my drive to work on projects that intersect various fields—from software and cloud computing to IoT and mechatronics. This project demonstrates not only my technical skills but also my ability to innovate and explore new frontiers in technology.
